Hello I'm Zoe Fox one of the Presidents of the PPAH at the UofA. I am excited for all the things this club has to offer. This is our first year up and running and I am constantly learning what new or different things this club can offer to its members. Jess and I began this club to give a platform to those who want to become a PA. At the UofA there are many medical clubs but we are the only ones catering to the specific field of becoming a Physician Assistant. I am a Public Health major, minoring in BioChem. In my free time I participate in research on Covid-19 and also enjoy working on graph design.

Hi I'm Jess Penners and am one of the Presidents of the Pre- Physicians Assistant Honorary. I am a junior studying Nutrition with a minor in Biochem and Finance. I am excited to see where this club goes, after bring this club to fruition we hope to expand so that everyone who wants to become a PA at the U of A knows theres a club for them to join. After spending so much time researching the PA profession and the paths to becoming one I wanted to help others understand the steps involved in the process of applying for graduate programs and beyond. In my free time I work at a lab on campus and love to spend time outdoors exploring Tucson.

My name is Erin McLoughlin and I am a senior at the University of Arizona majoring in Psychological Sciences and minoring in Public Health. I currently work as a Research Assistant for the Psychosocial Research in Oncology (PRO) Laboratory. I have also worked as a Teacher’s and Learning Assistant, as well as being a Pediatric Volunteer at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson. Along with this, I work as an artist and do commissions for clients. In my free time I love to workout and spend time with friends. I want to be a PA because I love science and medicine and want to make a difference in the world especially by helping others in their time of need. I am very open minded to all different specialties but as of now I am interested in surgery, more specifically plastic and reconstructive.

Hi there! I’m Valentina Accardo and I am the Outreach Coordinator for PPAH. I am from NYC and I’m a sophomore currently double majoring in Nutritional Sciences and Italian Language and Literature. I am involved in a few other clubs on campus including F.A.C.E.S., Body Positive Arizona, Mobile Medicats, and Honors Student Council. I’ve wanted to go into healthcare for as long as I can remember, but didn’t know about Physician Assistants and what they do until early high school. There are so many reasons why I was drawn to pursue this profession, but the most enticing were the big focus on patient care as opposed to hospital politics and bureaucracy, regular work hours and the ability to live my desired lifestyle, and the option to switch specialties if desired. Right now, I am interested in a few specialties including Sports Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Dermatology. But who knows! So many people go into medicine feeling certain they know what specialty they will go into and then end up falling in love with a completely different field! I am open to anything as long as I am still growing and learning :)

Hi, my name is Noah Wheeler, and I will be your treasurer for the Spring Semester of the 2021 school year. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Arizona and am majoring in Public Health and minoring in Nutrition. I hope to follow my family's footsteps and become a Physician's Assistant. I am a current honors roll scholar and former Vice President in both the Blue Chip Leadership Club and the Meditation Cats club on campus. I have worked with organizations like Global Works, Unearthed, and Rustic Pathways, using my bilingual ability to communicate with young prediebetic Spanish speaking youth, using medical practices as a catalyst to improving their conditions. I am a former member of the Distributive Education Club of America or DECA, a 501 not-for-profit career and technical student organization with more than 225,000 members in all 50 U.S. states. This program which prepares the emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management is universally recognized as the birthplace for some of America's brightest entrepreneurs. Some include, Jay Leno and Courteney Cox.
